The sunrise wasn't the only one enjoying the morning.

Just as the sky began to glow in shades of orange and crimson, this lone egret wandered along the shoreline as if it had the whole beach to itself. It never seemed bothered by the waves or the camera... just quietly starting another day.

I captured this photograph at Wilbur By the Sea, Florida, and it's one of those mornings that reminds me how peaceful the beach can be before the rest of the world wakes up.
